Nothing at Amaurine sits on a shelf waiting for someone to want it. Each piece is made when it is ordered, checked by hand in Sydney, and boxed for the person it is going to. Here is what happens between the order and the doorbell.
Crafted to order
When an order comes in, we release it to the workshop that makes the piece, usually within one to two business days, and the piece is made for that order. Making to order is why the collections stay small and why every piece is exactly what its page describes: made recently, for you, rather than pulled from a drawer. It is the same whether you have chosen a cuff from Éternelle or a vermeil signet like the Cachet Signet Ring.
Checked by hand in Sydney
Before a piece is boxed it is looked at by someone who cares whether the clasp sits right. If something is not right, it does not go out. It is a small step, and it is the reason what reaches you matches what you chose.
The box
Every piece arrives in the Amaurine box, ready to give or to keep, with its pouch and the cards that belong with it. Pieces from Étoilée come with their moissanite certificate. If a piece is a gift, it can go straight from the parcel to the person.
When it arrives
Shipping is free and tracked across Australia and New Zealand on every order, with no minimum. Most pieces are usually with you within five business days of ordering, and some within four; each product page states its own window under the Add to bag button, so the Murmure Heart Necklace, for one, says four. New Zealand orders usually arrive within seven business days. You get an email with tracking the moment the piece is on its way. If a date matters, write to hello@amaurine.com before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
The price at checkout is the whole price. GST is included, and there is nothing to pay the courier at the door.
If it is not right
Thirty days to change your mind, on every piece we sell, counted from the day your order arrives. Email hello@amaurine.com with your order number and we reply with a return address in Sydney. The piece comes back unworn, in the packaging it arrived in, with the pouch and any cards. We refund the price of the piece to your original payment method within three business days of it reaching us; your bank usually posts it within another three to five. Return postage on a change of mind is yours. Pierced earrings come back with the hygiene seal unbroken, and sale pieces return on exactly the same terms as everything else.
A faulty piece is a different matter, and it is covered for as long as the Australian Consumer Law says, whenever you find it. Email a photograph and your order number; we pay the postage both ways, and if the fault is a major one the choice between a refund and a replacement is yours. On top of that, every piece carries a twelve-month craftsmanship warranty: if a clasp, a setting or a finish fails in normal wear within a year, we repair or replace it.
If your order has not been dispatched yet, email us and we will cancel it and refund you in full.
The Returns policy and the Shipping policy are one page each, and they say the same things at greater length. Questions before you choose go to hello@amaurine.com; we answer within one business day, Sydney time.
